Construction is underway on a new $3 million expansion at Unverferth
Manufacturing Co., which manufactures manure handling equipment under
the Better-Bilt brand name.
April 3, 2008, Kalida, OH – Construction is underway on a new $3 million expansion at Unverferth Manufacturing Co. , which manufactures manure handling equipment under the Better-Bilt brand name.
According to an article in the Putnam County Sentinel , Unverferth is constructing a 68,000 square foot addition to expand its production capacity and plans to purchase more than $1 million in machinery and equipment. It's reported the Ohio Department of Development is funding about $140,000 of the project through two grants.
It's hoped the expansion will be completed by mid-summer 2008.
Unverferth employs about 225 people at its Ohio location. It's hoped the expansion will result in another 25 jobs at the plant.
