close-knit community near Ongar, Essex, in the UK is in mourning after two
farmhands drowned in a slurry tank.

July 18, 2011 – A
close-knit community near Ongar, Essex, in the UK is in mourning after two
farmhands drowned in a slurry tank.

It is thought the pair was
knocked out by methane gas from the liquid manure pit and then fell in.
Firefighters pumped out 12,000 liters of liquid manure in a bid to save them.
