Train – 1, manure hauler – 0 in crash southeast of Yakima

October 13, 2015, Mabton, WA — Officials say a truck driver spilled his load of manure but escaped injury after his vehicle collided with a train southeast of Yakima.

Yakima County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Bill Splawn said in a news release a man driving semi-trailer Oct. 12 morning attempted to beat a train in Mabton. The train reportedly hit the truck, causing the trailer to become dislodged and spill the load of manure onto the road. READ MORE
