February 10, 2016, Blain, PA — Virgil E. Gutshall Sr. has allowed the family hog farm to be a guinea pig of sorts for hog farmers everywhere who want to use swine manure as injected fertilizer and do away with liquid nitrogen costs.

The elder Gutshall has spent many years studying new ways to fertilize and deal with manure, and both father and son are in the process of patenting a computer-controlled manure injection unit they developed. READ MORE
