Manure issues for Wisconsin farmers

Jul. 9, 2013, Madison, WI - Recent heavy rains following a wet spring could lead to overflowing manure facilities in Wisconsin, say state officials.

Additionally, water quality officials warn that spreading manure on saturated fields could cause runoff into streams and lakes. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture have been working with farmers to prevent runoff and overflow, but caution farmers. READ MORE
