Indianapolis, IN – A bill authored by State Sen. Allen Paul, R-Richmond, would
freeze new construction and expansion of confined livestock operations in
Indiana.
If approved, Senate Bill
113 would establish a three-year moratorium on the start of construction of
confined feeding operations. The legislation also would prevent the expansion
of CFOs that increase animal or manure containment capacity during that time
period.
