Run-off from MI farm contained, assessment ongoing

March 13, 2015, Fulton, MI – It appears snowmelt tainted by manure spread on a farm field in southeastern Kalamazoo County reached a nearby creek, but authorities say a preliminary investigation has shown no immediate harm to fish or wetlands or threat to humans.
A local farm received a call recently informing the owner manure and water was running off a field. Rapid snowmelt created an unexpected amount of runoff of water and manure that the operation had applied to the rolling, 135-acre field. READ MORE
