Revised WI manure resolution passes unanimously

June 24, 2014, Kewaunee, WI – The Kewaunee County Board passed three resolutions during its regular monthly meeting, one being the revised version of last month’s highly contested resolution asking for state assistance with the health and environmental impacts from manure application.
In May, six members of the public made three-minute statements contesting the wording of the resolution with regard to manure irrigation, stating that there was no place for that and arguing the focus should be on manure impacts on health and groundwater in the karst region of Kewaunee County.
