Researchers helping manure smell better

Researchers from throughout Canada and
the U.S. have been working hard to remove the pungent smell from hog
manure.

January 5, 2009, Guelph, ON – Researchers from throughout Canada and the U.S. have been working hard to remove the pungent smell from hog manure.

pigs01According to a recent article in the Guelph Mercury, two researchers at the University of Guelph have discovered that a low voltage electrical current passed through liquid manure can reduce the intensity of the smell by 99 per cent.
