PA farmers switch to pig manure causing stink

March 7, 2013 – Pig manure is causing a stink among neighbors in Milford, PA.
Since the price of fertilizer skyrocketed in the past few years, some of the farmers in the rural township have been using pig manure, said one of the neighbors in the area, who attended the local Board of Supervisors meeting to urge officials to intervene.
“I’m glad to see them farm, but they don’t have to spread pig (manure),” the man stated. “This is their alternative to buying fertilizer, and I think they ought to go back to buying fertilizer instead of putting the stink on us all the time.” READ MORE
