OR digester suffers from contaminated manure

November 28, 2013, Tillamook, OR – A “sick digester” resulted in a drop off of methane gas production at the Port of Tillamook Bay’s manure-to-electricity digester, port commissioners were recently told.
“Gas production fell off a cliff last week,” said Eric Eckfield of Day CPM and the owner’s representative on the port project. Part of the cause was the seasonal transition from dairy cattle’s summer feed, which is grass, to winter feed, which is corn silage. READ MORE
