Oklahoma speeding up appeal of poultry litter ruling

request from Oklahoma’s attorney general and secretary of the
environment to speed up the state’s challenge of a court’s refusal to
ban the spread of poultry litter in the Illinois River watershed.

manurepileThe one million acre watershed is located in eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas and has been receiving poultry litter as a natural fertilizer for many years. The litter is typically land applied in late winter to late spring.
