March 14, 2011, St. Marys, OH — An Ohio senator is pushing federal officials to support a project aimed at helping reduce phosphorus levels in the Grand Lake St. Marys watershed.
Recently, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown penned a letter to U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Tom Vilsack urging him to support Quasar Energy Group’s grant application to install a methane digester in the area. Brown said the grant could be a step in the right direction in helping reduce phosphorus loading in the lake.
