Ohio cracking down on St. Marys farm runoff

August 16, 2010, Dayton, OH – It’ll be two years before farmers in the
Grand Lake St. Marys watershed face an absolute ban on applying manure
to frozen ground, but that doesn’t mean little will happen in the
meantime to stem runoff.

Ohio regulators say they’ll impose tough restrictions this year derived from federal best practice guidelines.
