Ohio ag agency may oversee fertilizer runoff

March 31, 2014, Columbus, OH – Ohio has proposed moving oversight of farmland manure runoff from the Department of Natural Resources to the Department of Agriculture. It’s part of legislation to regulate agricultural pollution.
State officials said that shifting manure management from one agency to the other would simplify the program, although the sheer scale of the change could pose a challenge for the Department of Agriculture. READ MORE
