Citing budget cuts, the Oregon Department of Agriculture is eliminating its
energy and climate change program, which helped farmers develop – and find
funding for – projects ranging from more efficient irrigation systems to
bio-digesters that convert cow manure gas into electricity.

energy and climate change program, which helped farmers develop – and find
funding for – projects ranging from more efficient irrigation systems to
bio-digesters that convert cow manure gas into electricity.
The move comes as the
state’s farmers are increasingly turning to alternative energy projects as a
way to reduce costs, or even earn money.
