NY dairy farmers talk water quality

November 17, 2014, Scipio Center, NY – Dairy farmers with Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation permits gathered recently to bolster their practical knowledge of manure runoff prevention and water well contamination.

The event was the local stop on a “road show” that drew area farmers to Sunnyside Farms. The show, sponsored by the New York Farm Bureau, Farm Credit East, Cornell Pro-Dairy and the North East Dairy Producers Association, offered three additional stops across the state inviting farmers to engage with federal and state environmental agencies.
