NY county ag group receives input during manure forum

June 26, 2015, Auburn, NY – During a public forum reviewing policy guidelines for local manure spreading on farms, the Cayuga County Manure Management Working Group welcomed input and questions from area residents.

As many as 125 farmers, agronomists, environmentalists and property owners convened at the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES June 25 to listen to local legislators and members of the working group’s advisory committee discuss a manure recommendation report aimed at improving water quality in the Owasco Lake watershed the committee authored.
