generate power, in an early morning fire April 17.

NY — Noblehurst Farms lost its digester, which uses methane gas from manure to
generate power, in an early morning fire April 17.

The farm was among the
first dairies in the region to embrace the technology when its digester went
on-line in 2003. Noblehurst intends to rebuild, but farm co-owner Sarah
Noble-Moag said it may take six to nine months, maybe longer, for a
custom-crafted engine to be built for the project.
