Dona Ana County wasn’t authorized to do so, and the nine huge piles pose a
health risk.
The New Mexico Land office
said truckloads of chicken manure equal to about 8,900 cubic yards were dumped
on a five-acre parcel of state trust land in the desert about five miles west
of La Union.
