New air permits in CA going into effect

October 29, 2012  by Western United Dairymen

October 29, 2012 – Phase two of the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District air quality rules for dairies, known as Rule 4750, is beginning to take effect.

For those dairies in the 500 to 1,000-cow category, there are monthly dairy compliance checklist requirements. For those dairies over 1,000 cows, the checklists are new and improved.

Western United Dairymen (WUD) members are advised to check their permit for their start date. WUD field representatives will be able to help you get up to speed with these new or expanded regulations.
