Missouri farmers gather for CAFO update

from the University of Missouri Extension and Department of Natural Resources
outlined new permitting regulations for concentrated animal feeding operations
for about 100 area farmers recently at First United Methodist Church in
Sedalia.

for about 100 area farmers recently at First United Methodist Church in
Sedalia.

Most of the 550 CAFOs in
the state operate under a federal general permit that is set to expire next
February.
