Minnesota dairy fined for manure spill

Paul, MN — The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has fined a Pipestone County
dairy $10,000 for a 252,000-gallon manure spill that caused a fish kill and the
temporary closing of a swimming beach.

dairy $10,000 for a 252,000-gallon manure spill that caused a fish kill and the
temporary closing of a swimming beach.

The spill at Pater Dairy,
which is seven miles south of Pipestone in southwestern Minnesota, happened on
May 5 but wasn’t reported to the state until May 13.
