Minn. researchers help convert manure to money

September 17, 2013, Waseca County, Minn – In something akin to making a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, Jun Zhu is working to help farmers turn hog manure into cash.
Specifically, Zhu, a University of Minnesota professor of renewable energy and environmental engineering, is studying ways to turn hog waste into a commercial fertilizer and a fuel he says is more efficient than gasoline. READ MORE
