MI manure spills into Pigeon River

January 5, 2015, Grant Township, MI — A semi-tractor hauling a large trailer wound up jackknifing and rolling over recently, spilling 7,300 gallons of manure in and around the Pigeon River.

Officials were called to the scene around 1:15 p.m. about a half mile east of Elkton Road, to find the accident that involved the semi-tractor and trailer. According to reports, the driver lost control coming down the hill, which pushed the trailer past the tractor and down into the ditch, rolling everything over.
