Croswell, MI – Michigan officials have filed a lawsuit in regard to an August
2009 fish kill in the Black River, according to a statement released by the
Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
The state filed the suit
against Noll Dairy Farm, Inc. of Croswell and Nevin and Heather Wenger of
Marlette — doing business as Back Country Manure Management Company — for
excessively applying manure to a field owned by the dairy farm Dec. 15.
