Manure web site launched in Virginia
Virginia poultry and conservation officials have launched a new web
site to market livestock manure and manure-based products. The site is being sponsored by the Virginia Poultry Federation and the Shenandoah Resource Conservation & Development Council.

Apr. 29, 2008, Harrisonburg, Va. — Virginia poultry and conservation officials have launched a new web site to market livestock manure and manure-based products.

According to a report in the Northern Virginia Daily , the site is designed to augment the Poultry Litter Hotline originally started in January 2007. It's being sponsored by the Virginia Poultry Federation and the Shenandoah Resource Conservation & Development Council .

Visitors to the new site can access lists with contact information for growers with litter to sell, brokers who haul and spread, compost suppliers, and buyers.

The web site also contains links to information on how to use the material appropriately.
