Manure-spreading odor addressed in WI

May 18, 2010 – Gardner, WI, residents took issue at a recent town board
meeting with operators of two large dairy cattle operations that spread
liquid manure on fields in the town.

May 25, 2010 – Gardner, WI, residents took issue at a recent town board meeting with operators of two large dairy cattle operations that spread liquid manure on fields in the town.

Don Niles, a partner in Dairy Dreams Farm and Randy Schmidt, a partner in S&S Ag Enterprises came to the meeting to address concerns over spreading fertilizer on fields in Gardner. Together, the two farms apply the liquid manure to less than 1,500 acres in Gardner.
