Manure spill kills 7,000 fish in OH

OH – About 7,000 fish were killed recently when a flash flood swept manure into
Little Sandy Creek, according to an Ohio Department of Natural Resources
investigation.

Little Sandy Creek, according to an Ohio Department of Natural Resources
investigation.

The spill began at
Whiteleather Farms in Minerva, after a flash flood swept manure from three
dairy barns into the creek. It’s alleged the manure bypassed the farm’s lagoons
because the grates were plugged.
