ELM Technologies offers manure management systems that are said to dramatically reduce odor, bacteria, gas emissions, and generally minimize environmental impacts. The systems provide comprehensive benefits with minimal operation and maintenance requirements, says the company.

The ELM Technologies Waste Stream Solutions system utilizes very few moving parts. The unit features high quality and field proven GE Fanuc components. Systems are equipped with computer controlled, operator interface touch screens for ease of control setting and operation. Units are designed to be primarily self-sufficient.

The units are versatile and easy to install, whether installed as a fixed or mobile unit. For most applications, installation of electrical connections, along with pump inlet and exit assemblies, is all that is required.

With the system, the waste stream is pumped from the collection pit or lagoon into the three process chambers of the unit, where it is treated with a patented electrolysis process. The process uses electrical energy to destroy organic molecules, rupture the cell walls of bacteria and reduce gas emissions from the waste. The waste is then pumped back into the lagoon or holding tanks.
