Manure auction a hit

March 6, 2009, Danville, Pa. – A recent auction of about 4300 tons of
poultry manure attracted around 70 people, including 21 registered
bidders.

March 6, 2009, Danville, Pa. – A recent auction of about 4300 tons of poultry manure attracted around 70 people, including 21 registered bidders.

The manure was sold in lots based on its nitrogen-phosphorous-potash content. The highest bid was $22 per ton for 1500 tons of 68-59-51 manure, a total of $33,000.
