Alliance Tire Americas has introduced the FloTruck 382, a new, all-steel radial flotation tire rated for 6,610 pounds at 62 mph (3,000 kg at 100 km/h) and DOT-compliant.
The block-tread design of the FloTruck 382 creates a large contact patch and a flat profile, reducing soil compaction and ensuring excellent road performance. Advanced compounding and all-steel construction improve stubble resistance

The Alliance FloTruck 382 is available in the popular 600/50R22.5 size, which fits a wide range of agricultural trucks, wagons, carts and trailers.
New Gill Sensor liquid level gauges
Displaying the volume of liquid within an irregularly shaped tank has traditionally proven difficult using a level sensor and standard liquid level gauge, with the physical level in the tank not representing the true volume of liquid remaining. Engineers tend to rely on external processing electronics and data lookup tables in order to calculate the true amount of liquid remaining.
The new S2 Liquid Level Gauge from Gill Sensors, however, can be easily configured to show the true volume within the tank in real time, without the requirement for data lookup tables or other external electronics.
Designed for use with a Gill Sensors Capacitive Liquid Level Sensor, the S2 Liquid Level Gauge is supplied with Gill’s newly developed Tank Profiler software application, which allows the user to program the gauge according to known volumetric fills in the tank. With the level sensor output voltage and true volume recorded throughout the depth of the tank, the display gauge is capable of representing the true tank volume in a linear fashion, regardless of the changes in the tank profile.
This process of mapping the tank profile has been used for many years in applications where the tank shape is irregular. An entirely new concept, however, is the capturing and processing of the volumetric data within the gauge itself, without the need for external processing electronics and lookup tables.
The Gill S2 Liquid Level Gauge gives the user full control over the illumination of each LED, so the gauge can also be programmed in a non-linear fashion according to the requirements of the user. For example, it is possible to represent the uppermost half of the tank on just three LEDs, with the lower half represented across the remaining 26 LEDs. This would give the user greater resolution in the lower half of the tank, where changes in liquid level often tend to be more critical for machine or vehicle operation.
The display gauge features 29 super-bright LEDs (red, amber, green), in addition to a numerical display panel capable of displaying the remaining liquid volume in real time. The gauge features light-sensitive automatic brightness control to allow use in all lighting conditions, including low-light and direct sunlight. A visual low-level alarm can be configured to appear at any pre-calibrated depth reading.
With an oval bezel, the S2 Liquid Level Display is compact and lightweight, ideal for simple installation on dashboards or instrument panels.
New BioReactor dealer in Canada
XACT Systems Inc. of Canada recently announced that United Livestock Systems (ULS) of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, was selected to become a new partner in its commitment to providing composting solutions for better solid manure waste management for farmers of Canada.
ULS has more than 35 years of expertise in equipment sales and installation in the dairy, beef and hog agricultural sectors. The BioReactor by XACT will allow ULS to offer an alternative to its customers who face the challenge of achieving better manure management.
The in-vessel rotating drum technology converts manure and other organic waste into pathogen-free compost, which makes bedding material. The compost can also be used as a soil amendment.
The BioReactor processes manure with little or no odor using very low horsepower with the new 4D Friction Drives.
XACT’s BioReactor is available in a variety of vessel sizes. The smallest is 1.5 meters (5 feet) in diameter x 3.6 meters (10 feet) long handling up to 1 cubic meter per day, and the largest is 3 meters (10 feet) in diameter x 36.5 meters (120 feet) long, which can handle up to 46 cubic meters per day (daily capacity is dependent on retention period).
Natural Environmental Systems announces new bacteria formula
Microbial products supplier Natural Environmental Systems, LLC recently announced the release of its new and improved wastewater treatment bacteria product for faster reduction of organic waste, lower BOD/COD levels and overall improved system efficiency across multiple wastewater types.
NE2000 Wastewater Treatment takes the company’s biological treatment products and combines them to create a formula used in widely varying types of treatment systems, reducing the need for multiple bacteria formulas.
In addition to utilizing the best microbial strains of its previous formulas, NE2000 Wastewater Treatment is also twice the strength of its predecessors with 10 billion CFU/ gram concentration level. This new formula also incorporates additional enzymes to break waste down and a growth stimulant to jump-start the microbes to feed on and digest organics.
NE2000 Wastewater Treatment is designed for use in animal waste facilities, municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants, food processing plants as well has high grease load systems such as grease traps and lift stations.
NE2000 Wastewater Treatment is available in eight-ounce pre-measured water-soluble packets packed in 25-pound pails.
