County officials, for abuse of process, malicious prosecution, and
negligent supervision were dismissed earlier this month by District
Court Judge Dennis Murphy.
August 28, 2009, Sibley County, MN – Charges against numerous Sibley County officials, for abuse of process, malicious prosecution, and negligent supervision were dismissed earlier this month by District Court Judge Dennis Murphy.
In August 2008, Michael Otto Hartmann of Severance Township and Douglas John Gunnink of Dryden Township sued Sibley County and numerous people employed by the county, alleging that the county knowingly and intentionally tried to coerce the plaintiffs to permit government agents to enter their private property to inspect their feedlots and to register them with the county and state.
