The program will take place August 20, 2008 from 9 a.m. to noon.

This webcast program will be the same training program that was offered in January 2008 and the training will only meet the three-hour requirement for 2008.

Any manure applicators in Iowa who have met their training requirements for 2008 do not need to attend.

The goal of hosting this summer training session is to meet applicators’ need for training prior to the busy fall land application season and to better organize training opportunities at the County Extension office.

Manure applicators not able to attend this workshop can still make arrangements with their County Extension office to schedule a time to view the training video on a different date, or they may contact their regional Department of Natural Resources field office to schedule an appointment to take the exam.

Interested people are urged to register for the workshop by August 13 by contacting the county where they plan to attend. Applicators should bring a copy of their driver’s license or a copy of their manure applicator certification card to the workshop.

Anyone with questions about this program is invited to contact Rachel Klein at 515-294-6685 or Angie Rieck-Hinz at 515-294-9590.
