Iowa feedlot cleared of EPA charges

September 9, 2009 – The
Federal Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to cite feedlots for
discharging waste without physical evidence was nullified in the Vos vs. EPA
case recently ruled upon.

In January 2007, the EPA
charged four Iowa cattle feedlot operators with illegally discharging
pollutants from their feedlots.
