power to regulate operations that accept manure from livestock farms has
cleared its first hurdle in the General Assembly.

Indianapolis, IN— A bill that would give Indiana’s environmental agency the
power to regulate operations that accept manure from livestock farms has
cleared its first hurdle in the General Assembly.
The Senate’s Energy and
Environmental Affairs Committee recently gave unanimous approval to the bill,
which would let the state’s environmental agency approve construction or
expansion plans of satellite manure storage sites that accept manure from
livestock farms.
