— Whether or not plugging into cow manure is the future of energy production,
Jerome County took a step toward allowing non-conventional energy production
with an affirmative vote by county commissioners to allow power generation from
dairy effluent.

with an affirmative vote by county commissioners to allow power generation from
dairy effluent.
County commissioners voted
to amend the zoning ordinance to allow the non-conventional energy production
without a special use permit, which is currently required.
