IA man dies in manure tank

February 24, 2014, Storm Lake, IA – A 36-year-old Lake View man died recently when he climbed into a manure tank without a mask and oxygen to help him breathe.

The man collapsed in the tank less than a minute after using a ladder to climb inside. He was part of a team spraying manure on a farm field north of Storm Lake. He climbed into the tank to fix a problem after the manure sprayer malfunctioned. READ MORE
