August 19, 2010 – Rep. Frank Kratovil, a member of the House Agriculture Committee, recently toured farms in both Talbot and Wicomico Counties to get a first-hand look at how federal and state conservation programs are being implemented by local producers.
Kratovil’s visits included discussions with farmers and the leaders of local agricultural organizations about the efforts Maryland farmers are making to reduce nutrient runoff into the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries.
