Grain producers see benefits from manure

March 31, 2014, Twin Falls, ID – News that applications of manure can boost protein in hard red spring wheat caught the attention of wheat growers this winter.

A survey of wheat and barley growers held during five cereal schools sponsored by the University of Idaho in February showed that 33 percent of the 223 barley growers and 36 percent of the 233 wheat growers already apply manure. READ MORE
