Former WI DNR water chief calls manure a threat

November 26, 2013, Sturgeon Bay. WI — Gordon Stevenson, a 26-year veteran of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and former chief of runoff management, recently told a full house of environmental advocates that animal manure is “a very significant threat to health and water quality in this state.”
Stevenson was the opening presenter at a daylong forum discussing the impact of modern agriculture on health and quality of life hosted by the Clean Water Action Council and Kewaunee Cares. READ MORE
