Five farmers may face lawsuits

November 19, 2009,
Lancaster, PA – PennFuture, a statewide environmental group, is threatening to
sue five Solanco farmers, alleging they are polluting local streams with soil
and manure runoff in violation of state laws.

All five farmers have
small operations. Four are dairy farmers and one is a poultry farmer. Two are
Plain Sect farmers.
