Sterling, CO – Brett McEndaffer said he was somewhat surprised by all the
opposition to his request to expand his feedlot operation from an allowed
16,000 to 22,000 cattle.

At a recent Logan County
Planning Commission’s meeting, the public hearing regarding McEndaffer’s
requested amendment to his special use permit lasted about an hour and a half
as neighbors raised concerns about odor, increased traffic and dust creating
safety hazards and impacting their quality of life.
