Saskatoon, Sask – Community members remain divided over the RM of Rudy’s
approval of what could become Saskatchewan’s largest feedlot.
Councillors approved the
land use for the proposed 36,000-head feedlot during a recent meeting. While
five of the seven council members support the move, along with some area
farmers, there are others who harbour major concerns about the intensive
livestock operation (ILO), which will now move on to the provincial
environmental assessment process.
