Farm Power holds open house in WA

September 28, 2012, Tillamook, WA – Farm Power, a company that builds, owns, and operates manure-to-energy facilities on dairy farms, is holding an open house today (Sept. 28) at its newest community digester southeast of Tillamook.
Underground pipelines connect the digester facility to five different family dairy farms. Each dairy pumps their fresh manure to the digester, and the processed liquid is pumped back after the manure is used to generate methane gas. The farmers are paid for their manure, and they get other benefits in the treated manure since it is now an improved, pasteurized fertilizer cleansed of solids, weed seeds, and insect larvae.
