EPA’s dust regulations a bit cloudy

A little spring cleaning can normally
take care of dust. But the solution has not been so simple regarding the
ongoing battle between the agriculture industry and the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency concerning allegations that the EPA wants to make its
regulations on farm dust twice as stringent, measures that farmers say would be
impossible to comply with.

But the solution has not been so simple regarding the
ongoing battle between the agriculture industry and the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency
concerning allegations that the EPA wants to make its
regulations on farm dust twice as stringent, measures that farmers say would be
impossible to comply with.

While U.S. representatives from both political parties are
sponsoring legislation to limit the ability of the EPA to regulate dust as a
pollutant on farms and ranches, EPA officials say there are no plans in place
to make standards stricter for farmers.
