VA – Seven small dairy farms in the Shenandoah Valley got a visit from the
Environmental Protection Agency this month.
The EPA’s inspections are
part of an effort to clean the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. The announcement of
those inspections sent waves of uncertainty and frustration through the valley
dairy community. But, new plans introduced by the state government could
eventually cut down the federal government’s involvement.
