New Rosedale biodigester is under construction

Jul. 10, 2013, Rosedale, WI – Over 8,500 cows at Rosedale Dairy will soon have their manure used to create biogas through a biodigester.

The $7 million project is already under construction, and aims to have two concrete tubs that can process 240 tons of manure every day into energy for Alliant Energy, a local power company.

“The biodigester is going to sell us all the energy that they produce. It’s about 1.4 megawatts of power. It could probably do several thousand homes,” Jim Krier of Alliant Energy said. READ MORE
