Dairy fined for manure seepage

December 23, 2010, Tillamook, OR – A dairy in Tillamook,
Ore., has agreed to pay a $7,650 penalty for unauthorized discharge into nearby
sloughs that empty into Tillamook Bay.

sloughs that empty into Tillamook Bay.

Misty Meadow Dairy LLC was found in violation of the Clean
Water Act during an inspection by the federal Environmental Protection Agency
and the Oregon Department of Agriculture on Jan. 12-13, 2010.
