July 7, 2009, Thief River Falls, Minn. – State pollution authorities recently ordered a northwestern Minnesota dairy to immediately empty two manure basins.

The action is the latest step of enforcement against Excel Dairy near Thief River Falls. Last September, state health officials declared hydrogen sulfide emissions from the dairy to be a public health hazard. | READ MORE
